Do you need a trainer?

Personal Training

It is widely acknowledged that having your own personal trainer is the quickest and safest way to achieve your health and fitness goals. Not only does it ensure that you exercise in the safest and most effective way possible, but it also gives you variety, encouragement and motivation to complete your workouts.

We can offer you a highly professional and effective one-to-one or group personal training service with our top personal trainer. Our trainer is an Advanced Level 3 member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (the highest level). Drawing on years of training experience, she will guide you through a fitness programme tailored specifically to your individual needs.

Over the weeks and months, your fitness will be constantly monitored, and your fitness programme will be adapted as you progress. This guarantees you are always exercising in the most effective way to achieve your desired goals.

Personal training sessions can be done anywhere. In a gym, the park in summer (or even in winter for the brave), or in the comfort of your own home. We bring all the equipment to you, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.

1 to 1 or Group - What's best?

It cannot be denied that a 1 to 1 session is the best method of reaching your health and fitness goals in the shortest amount of time. However, group training allows you to enjoy the benefits of personal training with reduced cost.

If you just like getting down to training without distraction or anyone watching then 1 to 1 is for you. Others find that working in a small group of like minded people can often provide better results because a small group gives that little extra motivation, competetive edge and focus.

One thing is for sure: Whether you choose 1 to 1 or group sessions; you need to commit to succeed. Altering a lifetime of bad habits takes time and effort. Small, regular changes are the stepping stones to a brighter, healthier future!

Personal Karate Training

Both our trainers offer are qualified karate instructors. They have been awarded their qualifications by the head of the International Federation of Karate (IFK); Hanshi Steve Arneil. Both have represented England in a Clicker (fast semi contact) style of fighting and achieved national awards for Kata, Knockdown and Semi Contact fighting. They run East Yorkshire Karate Kyokushinkai (EYKK) on a voluntary basis and have coached several of their students to regional, national and international honours.

Personal Karate Training can be offered to anyone over the age of 8. The general rule is that most improvement will be gained through participating in 2, hour long sessions per week, however this is not vital. As with the Personal Fitness Training, the Karate can be done in 1 to 1 or group sessions. Prices are the same, however there is a small annual affiliation fee payable to the British Karate Kyokushinkai.
